Martha McCuen Miller for KHSD Trustee

In 2010, with the support of my family and many loyal friends and community members, I was elected to the Kern High School District Board of Trustees. I have proudly served for three and a half years and now it is time for another election. I have an extensive background in education and know well the challenges facing public education today. I am running for reelection to the KHSD Board because I want to ensure the Board is focused on what’s best for our students: programs and services that ensure they graduate on time prepared to succeed in college and the workplace.

My agenda is not political. I bring to the Board the same goal I had throughout my 36-year career as a teacher: helping young people succeed by providing the opportunities and support they need to maximize their potential. I am not interested in seeking higher office and only want to continue to serve as a fair and reasonable voice on the Board on behalf of ALL students. If reelected, I will continue to “Focus on the Kids.”
